PQI Launches New Career Center
Thursday, July 18, 2019
The Institute for Perinatal Quality Improvement, or PQI, announced the launch of the PQI Career Center, an integrated job search platform to connect candidates seeking jobs in perinatal quality improvement with potential employers.
“The United States is experiencing a maternal mortality crisis and increased media coverage in the last few years has left many people wanting to know how they can help,” said Debra Bingham, founder and executive director of PQI. “Feedback from the PQI community helped us to identify the need for a comprehensive career platform to connect clinicians with quality improvement experience with organizations in need of applicants with this skill set.”
The PQI Career Center is integrated into the existing web site, which also serves as a hub for education, interactive mapping of QI projects, event scheduling and more. Job seekers and hiring professionals are encouraged to create a profile at http://careers.perinatalqi.org.
PQI, which works to expand the use of quality improvement to eliminate preventable perinatal morbidity and mortality and ensure equitable outcomes, also hosts educational conferences and trainings both in-person and online. The organization was founded in 2016 by Debra Bingham, DrPH, RN, FAAN, and relies on the oversight of multi-stakeholder professionals from diverse backgrounds to carry out its mission.
